Local Control Funding Formula

Enacted in 2013, The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) funds school districts equally per student through a Base Grant. Additional monies are provided for students in kindergarten through grade three and for students in grades nine through twelve. These dollars are referred to as Grade Span Adjustment funds. LCFF also provides extra funding to support instruction for English learners, low income students, and foster youth through Supplemental and Concentration Grant funds. Under this system, Cypress School District receives money through the Base Grant, Grade Span Adjustment, and Supplemental Grant. The district does not meet the student demographic requirements for Concentration Grant funds.
