Draft Trustee Area Maps and Sequence of Elections
 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Cypress School District, at its Regular Board Meeting to be held on May 11, 2017, will present draft trustee area maps and proposed sequence of elections for public input. This public hearing is part of the process for establishing a “by-trustee area” elections methodology.

It is anticipated that the Governing Board will formally adopt a single map following the public hearing on May 11, 2017. The draft maps and proposed sequence of elections can be accessed via the district’s website.

The Governing Board of the Cypress School District invites public testimony regarding this matter.

Request to Waive Submission Deadline for 2015/16 CAASPP Apportionment Information Report 
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the intention of the Cypress School District Board of Trustees to hold a public hearing on Education Code Section 60640(l), which provides for apportionment funds as partial reimbursement for costs associated with the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). 
 
California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 5, Section 862(b)(2)(A) requires all local educational agencies to certify the accuracy of the CAASPP Apportionment Information Report and submit by the deadline. The Board shall encourage participation by parents, teachers, members of the community interested in the affairs of the school district, and bargaining unit leaders, and shall make a determination through a resolution regarding the request to waive the submission deadline for the 2015/16 CAASPP Apportionment Information Report. 
 
The public hearing will be held on April 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., at Steve Luther Elementary School, 4631 La Palma Avenue, La Palma, California, 90623.  At such time, the comments of all interested persons regarding the Request to Waive Submission Deadline for the CAASPP 2015/16 Apportionment Information Report will be received by the Board of Trustees.

Draft Trustee Area Maps and Sequence of Elections
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Cypress School District, at its Regular Board Meeting to be held on April 13, 2017, will present draft trustee area maps and proposed sequence of elections for public input.  This public hearing is part of the process for establishing a “by-trustee area” elections methodology.
 
The Governing Board may direct that the draft map(s) be retained for consideration at a subsequent public hearing, modify draft map(s), or eliminate draft map(s) from consideration during the April 13, 2017 Board Meeting.  The draft maps and proposed sequence of elections can be accessed via the district’s website.
