Greater Anaheim Special Education Local Plan Area (GASELPA)
In 1977, all school districts and county school offices in California were mandated to form consortiums in geographical regions of sufficient size and scope to provide for all special education service needs of children residing within the region's boundaries. Each region is known as a Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).
Cypress School District is a member of the Greater Anaheim Special Education Local Plan Area (GASELPA).
SELPAs are required to develop and implement a comprehensive local plan containing assurances that it has in effect policies, procedures, and programs governing access to special education and services. Click here to view the GASELPA Local Plan.
Parent Training
The Greater Anaheim SELPA offers workshops for parents on a variety of special education topics. Details can be found on the Upcoming Parent Workshops page.
