The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) requires school districts to work with educational partners to develop a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) which explains how the district's goals, actions, services, and expenditures will meet the needs of English learners, low-income students, and foster youth. The LCAP must also address how these goals, actions, services, and expenditures will meet each of the state’s eight priority areas: basic services, state standards, parent involvement, student achievement, student engagement, school climate, course access, and other student outcomes.

 

The LCAP requires school districts to gather input from students, teachers/staff, parents, and community members to determine the goals, actions, and budget priorities for the district.
