COVID-19 Testing

Cypress School District has partnered with Xpress Urgent Care to offer voluntary on-site COVID-19 testing for students and staff. For details, click below.

Updated guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requires that schools currently open for in-person instruction offer COVID-19 testing for students as well as staff. Testing frequency is determined by the CDPH based on the daily number of new COVID-19 cases and positivity rates (see below). This testing is offered on a voluntary basis and is not required.

Cadence Table

The district is expanding its partnership with Xpress Urgent Care for COVID-19 staff testing to include students enrolled in the Regular or Hybrid school schedule. The test is a quick and painless nasal swab that confirms whether or not someone has a current COVID-19 infection. Students must have a parent/guardian present at the time of testing.

Beginning February 23, testing will be offered twice weekly at all school sites for students enrolled in the Regular or Hybrid schedule.
