Proof of residency is required. If you live outside the boundaries of the Cypress School District, please see Student Transfers for enrollment information.

 

If you have any questions or need enrollment support, please contact your home school office.

 

Enrollment Priority
  1. Students living within the school’s boundary with a sibling currently enrolled in the school.
  2. Students living within the school’s boundary without a sibling currently enrolled in the school.
  3. District students requesting an intradistrict transfer between schools.* 
    (Priority given to students with a sibling already enrolled)
  4. Students requesting an interdistrict transfer into the district.*
    (Priority given to students with a sibling already enrolled)


    *Once enrolled, intradistrict and interdistrict transfer students are allowed to keep their seats as long as they maintain good attendance and appropriate school behavior.

 
Immunization Requirements
 
California law requires your child to have received certain vaccinations prior to enrolling in school. For additional information regarding immunization requirements, please visit shotsforschool.org. 
 
Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten
 
Cypress School District offers both transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten programs. Enrollment for the new school year begins in February.
 
Age Requirements:
 
Transitional Kindergarten (TK)
  • 2024/25 School Year - 5th birthday between September 2, 2024 - June 2, 2025
  • 2025/26 School Year and thereafter - 4th birthday by September 1 of the enrollment school year 
Traditional Kindergarten
  • 5th birthday on or before September 1 of enrollment school year

Our priority is always to ensure that students attend their home school or the school of choice elected by their parent(s). However, when a grade level is full at a school, we may need to administratively transfer a newly enrolled student to another school within the Cypress School District that has seats available to ensure optimal student learning.
